Let troubles be gone
let terror just subside
let hatred and anger vanish;
let people survive
let peace prevail
let fear just dwindle away.

Let winners be winners
let losers gain back their fortitude;
let heaven be known
let life get re-structured;
let no more bullets be fired
let compassion play its role.

Let humanity rise
let the victorious ride
let children go back to school and learn
let country be steady again;
let realities get accepted
let no one suffer more the pains
let no one be compelled to grieve.

Let normalcy return
let triumph show its purpose;
let hopelessness disperse
let light of conciliation kindle
let Afghanistan live by its name
let prayers bring in the peace.

Let men not fear men
let fate not fear fate
let today reveal a resolve
let justice of its kind, prevail.

Let neighborhoods rise in brotherhood
let people not run from their cities
let sufferings just subside
let existence find a relevance.

Let life find its way to solace
let families get back to serenity and unity;
let strength revive the self-confidence
let mind show tolerance and flexibility
let hearts embrace the customary tranquility
let Afghanistan be Afghanistan forever.
