An Ignorance A Sunset

By Emily Dickinson

An ignorance a Sunset
Confer upon the Eye—
Of Territory—Color—

Its Amber Revelation
Omnipotence’ inspection
Of Our inferior face—

And when the solemn features
Confirm—in Victory—
We start—as if detected
In Immortality—
