Mother Earth

By  Patri Venkata Ramana

Aspiring to be chilled with showers,
Dried cracked earth looking at the sky

A mute witness to the puerile acts
disruption from soil to space
the woeful nature’s yell!

Her pristine form is in threat
Hope the grabber will awake
Come and join hands to reset
Save for posterity’s sake

dews of elixir
dropping down from the ether
sprouting life again
