Our leaders love To Act like Parents

By Gabriele Labanauskaite

Our leaders are so fond of being like their parents,
Despite the fact that parents haven’t brought a mammoth home in a long time.
Our economy so much likes to be like a mother,
Usually she tries to be stable and responsible,
But if she breaks, she packs a secret cigarette after a cigarette.

Our stock shares like to be like sisters
They argue with each other and steal each other’s mirrors.
Our capital is so fond of being like a brother —
usually an older brother — he knows what is needed, but is silent.

Our media likes to be like a first-rate cousin
spreading rumors after every tribal score.
Our ads are similar to hyperactive daughters,
and the real estate is like an uncle suffering from overweight.

Our poison poison is closest to the body.
Our poison branches out like a tree, the tree of
blood vessels in outstretched arms.

I have no family.
He became an orphan early on.
