Photosynthesis

By Star Eye

Photosynthesis sustains us-

a gauzy, iridescent veil

through forests wide and forests deep

amidst translucent, hidden trail

Sunlight captured momentary,

distributed to molecule-

visible from open window

and scattered through the vestibule

While tendrils meld into ether,

a tender melody of green

when breath inhales the atmosphere-

an inspiration rarely seen

Perhaps some fanciful mirage

explains what happens every day-

replenishment of precious air

till canopy begins to sway

Important as the day is long

while taking moment to discuss:

a gauzy, iridescent veil-

Photosynthesis sustains us
