Santa's Old Reindeer

By Eve Roper

Santa intensely studies his list

of children who have been naughty or nice.

Mrs. Santa insists,

“Hurry up or you’re going to miss the sleigh full of gifts! “

Oh, shush! They can’t leave me behind.

Rudolph’s nose has lost its shine.

Dasher is going blind.

Dancer doesn’t mind.

Prancer is never on time.

Vixen has problems staying in line.

Comet gets tired of the reins on his spine.

Cupid needs to unwind.

Donner hates to be confined.

Blitzen, well he is just plain lazy so it doesn’t matter to him.

They are all getting old and rather stay home

sipping eggnog by the fireplace feeling tipsy and fine.
