She Fought The Good Fight

By Savanna Walker

Wide eyes they see yet Shadowed.
Drawn yet Concerned in Between the Struggles.
She reins Strong and undetered.
She fights the Good Fight.
She inspires us all.
My desperation is seen with my voice Raw.
I watch From the side lines.
As she fights her Fight.
She does not quit and she does not Fold.
This battle will never gain its hold.
Yet she stays strong as we watch.
Her chin held high with her shoulders squared.
I watch with A baited Breath.
As the sun starts to fade.
She Fights The Good Fight.
She still holds her ground yet I see she is weary.
She forges forth she is tired and she still fights.
I know she is tired and she wants to rest.
She fought the good fight she wants to lay down her arms.
I watched as she was finnally done.
I am proud she fought with all she has left.
I stand at her side and I look in her eyes I smile.
I tell her I’m Proud She fought with all her might.
As i whisper in her ear knowing she wished to sleep.
As I watched them lower the casket i whisper my last goodbye.
Thinkingin inside she put up a great fight.
I hug her close for the last time.
I leave her side as the tears slide down my face.
I know she won her fight I am Proud she fought.
