For the hands that crawled, and left you broke
Same hands that tore, and left you bleed
For the hammering hurt, that hemmed you whole
And the wrath that stole, and stained with hurt
What you kept as gem, like a babe so pure
For all darkest deeds, and sharp cutting viles
That found their home,in your humble dome
This hold as flame, thine guiding light
You weren’t at wrong,you weren’t at fault
For the life you lost, when violence fell
When fiends of dark, made feast of thee
For the child you love,as though crowning stone
Who came through hurt, and crippling shame
For the tears you wept, nights spent awake
You spent to gain, slow footed healing
Who knits you whole, each rising sun
So knitted whole, you glow as gold
For the foes you fought, all alone in dark
This hold as flame, thine guiding light
You weren’t at wrong,it weren’t your fault.
