Silo Of Disrepair

By Lucas Akkadian

I am suspended amidst the chaotic
disassembling of paraplegic machines
Terminally doomed and forever withering into stone.

Life in rewind,
Spinning fast into a coffin coccoon
As thick webs wrap around this
Casket of impurities.

Just hanging by the thread of
Death in slow motion.

With shadows nipping at my heels,
But sinister smiles holding down
the cynic in me, like the patient
Grains of lead floating in
molecules of water
Waiting to sink.
