Untitled

By Kelsey Tlhosane

Son unlike father,
Mother dislike father,
Son most likely to come short on keeping his head high,
While addicted to girls on screen;
Depleted by his own inflated ego;
Addicted to non-prescribed drugs;
Addicted to any substitute that faints off the pain;
Obligated by negligence;
Terrorized by the self,
And disorganized by bipolar disorder.

Little boy awaits relapses to cope
With the scope of his anxieties,
While mother tends to her tears with dope.
