Voting

Voting is a privilege
As well as a duty.

How can it be
that so many of us
can’t be bothered
to actually do it?

We spit on the graves
of everyone who fought,
whether on a foreign battlefield
or the streets of this nation,
whenever this privilege
is taken for granted.
