We Support Our Firefighters

We salute our firefighters here in this country, and
overseas as well,
We have many volunteers that join these groups to
protect all with many stories to tell.
Young or old it’s all the same, as plenty lose their lives
in dangerous flames.
Was it a pot we let dry out on the stove or was it a
cigarette butt left burning to blame?
Not a day goes by without ferocious fires and the sirens go
off night and day.
These firefighters are ready anytime they are called
and pray no lives will be lost today.
Mrs. Campbell, I leave a note to you in this poem
of its last verse.
Your boys volunteering to be firefighters is a God
Giving Gift, that doesn’t need to be rehearsed.
