You Told Me No

By Anon100

Atop his throne, he bellows a grunt
“I told you what I needed, fuck off c*nt”

Violently shaking, I announce my death
“Please, I can’t do it!” exhaling final breath

“Telling me no? You’ve sealed your fate.”
Gripping my throat- my gasps infuriate

I try to use my eyes, perhaps they can pray
They bulge out of my head, accelerate decay

Shiny black marbles, determined and hollow
Vision crosses mine, fingers force me to swallow

Sulfur and acid, embers burning to the touch
My mouth held open- my gut I must clutch

Body surrenders, I digest his hate
My skin cracks and pales, his face- elate

Powerless and defeated, he is free to let go
I fall to the earth, remaining pride I bestow

Most severe lesson, he prepares to teach
Utter isolation, “Have Mercy!” I beseech

Grinding my teeth, and humming the Lord’s Prayer
He steals my voice, “You will be alone, you will be aware.”

I scream with my eyes, and try to meet his gaze
He’s rid of me for now, my value he’ll appraise

Silhouette shrinking, I’m left alone to cope
His one hand- my voice, the other- my hope
