Zeus The God Of The Sky

By Linda Frances

Zeus is in a bad mood
He’s not happy with early sun rise
Nor the sunset late
I will show who’s in charge of the sky
Let me plan a thunderstorm
In the middle of the hot summer

I can hear the thunder growl
Sun has fled with fear
Clouds are getting heavy
And turn their colour to grey
Rain comes down heavy
Plants are having a drink

Here comes wind to shake all trees
Birds flown high by heavy wind
Shouting sun god has been pushed
Behind the heavy grey clouds
Humans are inside their homes
Pets are hiding under chairs

Zeus is being a big bully
We’ll send message to our God
Who created this beautiful world
The way the earth rotates
It’s Summer for northern hemisphere
With the sun shining bright
