We are now considering poetry submissions from writers all around the world via a simple Google Forms portal. Selected poems will be continuously shared and promoted across our online network and the submission portal will remain open all year round. You can find the submission guidelines and more information here.
Having posted over 60 articles that cover various topics within the literature realm this year, we have now set the ambitious goal of 360 published articles by the end of the year 2022. As such, we are currently extending invitations to guest writers who would like to publish their high-quality editorials with us. If you would like to find out more about why these articles are important to us, and how they can help you, head over to this submissions page.
Earlier this year, we launched our first anthology; Letting In The Light, in collaboration with Chasing Dreams Publishing. It is a product of a poetry competition we ran over a span of 3 months prompting writers around the world to share their turmoil and their triumphs in dealing with the living effects of mental illness. 24 wordsmiths were selected and published. The anthology is available worldwide as an e-book as well as paperback. Order your copy or find out more about it here.
Our return to live shows in 2022 will be paired together with the launch of a feature podcast entitled ‘State Of The Arts!’ The show aims to employ art and culture to steer conversations around Mental Health Awareness, Stigma, Identity and other pressing issues plaguing our communities today. You can expect panel discussions, guest interviews, news updates and much so more! Be sure to keep an eye out for the details across our social media platforms next year.
Lastly, we have a top secret resource coming up before the end of the year. I can only guarantee you this: it will be FREE for all friends of Pick Me Up Poetry! All avid poetry students will not want to miss this incredible opportunity to level their writing game! Stay tuned.
In the spirit of self-introspection, we have spent the majority of our time this year reflecting on our place in the poetry scene as well as the arts & culture industry at large. Ever since our inception; young, eager writers and performers have flocked to our stage in search of a safe space to explore their craft, free from judgement and discrimination.
You may be one of those beautiful people yourself, and to you, we say, “Welcome Home”. We have fully embraced this calling and we will continue to develop products and services that teach and inspire. Thank you for trusting us with this marvellous responsibility.
"To get the full value of joy you must have someone to divide it with."
