Accident Poem
By Freewill Amon
I was just about to get in
Before I suddenly got hit
The sky spinned round and around
As I rolled on the road
It was like a moment of transition
As I gazed at the spinning sky
But I realized what just happened
And wished I had died
I rose up to people telling me sorry;
I nudded and check myself for injuries
Oh! … This split-of-a-second incident
Have just brought me more worries
A new wound on my shoulder
Another on my toe
A little bruise on my hand
More smiles to my foes
With God on my side
Why should this have happened?
No tears in my eye
But my heart just got heavier
Where is God’s address?
I want to write Him a letter
Situation only worsens
It seems not to get any better
I’m fed up with fake promises
By hypocrites in the pulpit
Where in the world is justice? !
You need to get hold of the culprits
I’m not the architect of incidents
But I know there is a master-mind behind accidents
Unfortunately, I fell victim to one
And then I asked, what have I done wrong?
