Dallas Poem
By Robert Edgar Burns
I’m taking a trip and flying to Dallas.
I hear Jerry Jones has built a new palace.
The Cowboys Stadium is terribly huge,
But wheelchair accessible for us old dudes,
In Dallas.
I hear Larry Hagman is now filming in Dallas.
J.R. Ewing returned, and now drinks from a chalice.
The South Fork location is the worlds largest ranch,
The only one bigger burnt down in France.
Not Dallas!
A nude rude dude and on digitalis
Crudely ran onto the field at halftime in Dallas.
He was cold as Ice but at times very nice
I forgot to forget what I remembered twice,
In Dallas.
This just gets more jumbled like aurora borealis,
But I don’t think you can see that in Dallas.
Whatever I say I hope you will find,
The answer to it cause I’m losing my mind.
In Dallas!
