First Breath Out Of A Coma

By Sean Stoneman

The first breath out of a coma, eyes never opened.
Kudos to you my friend for playing that fine simple music.
Stepping over that bridge and dying,
Birds and birds taking flight,
Glancing over water, never touching.
The first breath out of a coma,
Repelling.
Water sustained the town
Airplanes are going down
Formulating the ground
Introducing chemistry.
Gloomy days we go hunting
Scattering along the rooftops.
Tears remind me of his smile
Diagrams conceived
Hills are all I breed
The first breath out of a coma.
Remembering tomorrow and how it will go
Forsaken gods is all they know.
Chambers built for new castles
Selecting slaves however built
Rusting from the tilt;
The first breath out of a coma.
Manifest destiny set for all time
Security ultimately eluding for producing
It’s the first breath out of a coma
