Life Wishes On Dandelion Puffs

By Sherry Anne

perfection is the sound
of children playing tag outdoors
high pitch shrieks drifting through the window

the skies are cerulean blue
with white congregating cotton clouds
tropical heat forming beads of sweat

hummingbirds and bees staying busy
on red powder puffs and buttercups
barefoot on green spongy grass

my love engulfed in smoke
at the barbecue, tongs and beer in hand
catching my eye with a wink

background tunes drift on the FM station
my butterfly eyes flit from scene to scene
wishes blown on dandelion puffs are airborne
