Texas Highways Poem
By Armadillo Poet
In bonnets of blue
With red brushes,
Drips of indian yellows
Invite the ant and bee
To kiss and sting.
Needless to say
Swelled tongues hum
To Monarchs flapping
Through traffic
To Me-xi-ca trees.
Wildflowers bloom
Wherever they are.
And whether summoned or not,
They sing.
