Werewolf
By Ryan Brodesser
When the moon falls on new silver full
Cursed beast and man alike cannot resist the pull
From civilized man to savage beast
Look for human flesh, for a gruesome feast
Lock your doors and pray to the merciful gods
And feel thankful that you are in closed in strong stone walls.
Shepherds who guard cloven hills and bleating herd (s)
Beware of howling language, lost to human words
Beware those in woods tonight
Heed my words, and take flight
Lock your doors, and shut windows tight
Or you may be the victim of the werewolf tonight.
Oh peasants and lords alike, beware of silver light
When the sun falls back to darkness this very night
The curse of the werewolf will upon any lonesome stride
And blood will fall like crimson tide
Archers with bows long and swift
Tonight, be sure to have arrows silver tipped
Stay inside, upon pain of death do not go past oaken gates
Or you may just have sealed your fate
There will be no mercy tonight, adult and children are not safe, the cursed beast festers with hate
Lock your doors, secure children, livestock, chickens, cows sheep or goat.
And feel not, the teeth of the beast rip out your throat
