Wyoming Poem

By Charles Nichols

Wyoming is grassy,
Grassy and spacious,
Spacious and High,
And swept by the wind

Wyoming is stretching,
Stretching and empty,
Empty but hearty,
Believing new friends

Wyoming is rugged,
Yet smoothed all by prairie,
Tree dotted ‘farther’
Ringed distant by Stone

Wyoming is carved,
By distant told waters,
Stretches that follow
The sky, to its throne
