A Happier Day

We had a marvelous day there
when we went to the beach.
Me and my siblings together,
for a Saturday afternoon braai.
We made sure we brought
multi-colored
umbrellas and sun-block
to protect our backs from the heat.
Oh, and some tasty treats
for the check bones.
We had some good fun there
at Millerton’s sandy beach.
As we moved from
place to place.
Until the sun went to rest.
