A Visit To The Dentist

By Theresa Ann Moore

How are you today?
Open wide, while I survey.
Let’s see what I can do…
To fix the ache that is bothering you.

A solution is required and overdue.
A crown will make your tooth like new.
Trust in me, this won’t hurt a tiny bit.
I promise no fragile nerves will I hit.

Drilling, boring, sculpting, preparing…
All the steps of mending and repairing
The form is made for the temporary.
Now that wasn’t bad; it wasn’t scary.

Everything looks good but let me explain;
Chew carefully and call if there is any pain.
Soon we’ll be ready for the final installation.
I know you’ll be pleased with the transformation.
