Algeria Poem

By Dove Windsor

In the Maghreb’s embrace, where sunsets gleam,
Algeria, a land where dreams redeem,
Majestic deserts, vast and profound,
A nation’s spirit in every dune found.

Atlas Mountains, proud and high,
Cradling tales beneath the azure sky,
Valleys below, where rivers wind,
A symphony of nature, intertwined.

Minarets stand with elegance and grace,
Silent echoes of a timeless space,
Places of worship, symbols so divine,
In Algeria’s heart, a sacred shrine.

Through epochs marked by ancient lore,
Resilient souls, steadfast evermore,
Defying storms with unyielding might,
Algeria stands, a beacon of light.

Land of poets, storytellers bold,
Their verses etched in sands of gold,
Words flow like the Saharan breeze,
A tapestry of prose beneath the trees.

Algiers, a city where past meets present,
A vibrant canvas, a cultural crescent,
In the tapestry of time, a tale unfolds,
Algeria’s saga in history it holds.

Oh, Algeria, with a history vast,
From the sands to mountains cast,
Facing challenges with unwavering gaze,
A nation resilient, through changing days.

Scars may linger, stories untold,
Yet hope persists, a spirit bold,
In the oases where palm trees sway,
Algerian hearts dream of a brighter day.

Through the tests of time, a steadfast climb,
Above the echoes of every paradigm,
Algeria, a future yet untold,
A story of triumph, courage to unfold.

By the Mediterranean’s azure strand,
Algeria stands, proud and grand,
Oh, Algeria, in your heritage so grand,
A beacon of resilience, forever you’ll stand.
