All In Favor

By Ima Ryma

African wild dogs live in packs.
Their lives of course are filled with barks.
Also their sneezes have impacts
For voting on their hunting larks.
The dogs do rally for the choice
Of whether to now hunt or not.
A sneeze does count as a yes voice.
If most do sneeze, then hot to trot.
But if most do not make a sound,
Then that rally does fizzle, so
The dogs do find some shady ground,
And off to pack nap they do go.

To hunt or not to hunt – that is
A sneeze count – democratic biz!
