New Mexico
By Poetess RheMonét
At dawn, hot air balloons cover the sky.
A full moon at night, a coyote cries.
In the high desert, white full clouds are so very close.
Against the Azul sky, a bright sun arose.
Lilac and rosey Sandia’s; as it greets the sun.
What a glorious sight, then it’s gone.
Roadrunners zoom through yucca’s of the wild wild west.
While the marvelous Rio Grande flows it’s quest.
Red or green chile, what will it be?
How about Christmas style, shall we?
Old town mariachi’s; con chips y salsa.
Live music, good food, que la fiesta!
Let’s watch the ball game; go Lobos and Isotopes!
Or; hit the snowy mountain ski slopes.
Uptown to downtown, east to west;
The Land of Enchantment is simply the best.
