No Oxygen

By Kewayne Wadley

You’re a breath of fresh air.
A traveling exploration, shifting &
Ever changing.
Soon I’ll climb into a rocket.
Soon I’ll come find you
& when I do.
Cover me in the mystique of midnight
Cherry lip gloss.
Swirl around me in intense déjà vu.
Turbulence of the heart & calming of
The mind.
A familiar feeling, breaking through
The stratosphere of your lips.
Soon I’ll climb into a rocket.
& soon I’ll come find you.
Pull me closer & stargaze
Snuggled under the light of your eyes
Surrounded by infinite dark.
Soon I’ll lose breath in transference
Of energy.
Soon I’ll know what secrets you hide.
A breath of fresh air
In a space where there is no oxygen.
I miss your hugs the mos.
