Oh Seasonal Depression By Palliatively
These tired old wounds
too painful to show
return in the winter
Melancholy flakes whip through thoughts
clinging to frost
sadness shades my eyes
I’ll just fall in love
Little blonde girl
hair reminiscent
some past sunrise
promises of happiness
that i’ll quietly whisper to myself
Hollow smiles filling
empty lives
brittle brick castles
shatter and
those rocks in your life
crumble
The frozen pieces are too painful touch
but you know
you can’t live without them
so you pile the rubble
and hope it lasts
the winter
Sorrow will pass
but here I’ll remain
A slave to a smile
invisible chains
perpetual tears
and alcohol stains
Seasonal depression is just a mood swing
in slow motion
