SnowFlake On My Tongue

By Teresa Harr-Pena

Waiting to be
Blinded by
Snowflakes of
Beauty falling
From the sky.
Eyes squinting,
Mouth opened
Wide just
For droplets of
Frozen water to
Touch the sensitive
Muscles of my
Tongue. Dying
From dehydration
With only the
Intent of
Catching a
Beautiful
Snowflake
On my tongue
