The North Dakota Winter Haikus Poem

By Tovli Simiryan

The river deepens. Winter solace detaches; blushing with sunrise. Shallowness impedes, crowding inside radiance; moths dissolve in flight. G-d inhaling ice; colder than distant moon-light; this night of shadow. Guard our deep secrets, like darkness hiding in warmth. the prairie curling, floating into storm, blizzards walking toward suns; white silence—breathing. River sprays color; opening gardens like words; leaf twirls silver air. Sunrise is prison; wisdom inside this journey, last storm; summer birth.
