The Tennessee Three Poem

By Randy McClave

I stand for the Tennessee three
As they stood for the children of our country,
They three protested after 3 children and adults were killed
At a Christian school in Nashville.
They are now known as the Tennessee three
As they protest with worries and care and a plea,
They demanded lawmakers to pass gun-control legislation
Which needs to be enacted everywhere across our nation.
They are called the Tennessee three
And they are their voters appointee,
They protested and shouted, “No action, no peace”
Without legislation, Gun violence will never cease.
Yes! they are the Tennessee three
In their beliefs and with their thoughts I also see me,
They protest to save our kids and not our guns
They want to protect our daughters and our sons.
I will stand with the Tennessee three
As long as I can write and talk and see,
Only unto God must we worship and also pray
And never send worship or praise to the NRA.
