A Road Away

By Sakshi Sitoot

Leaving my city, my dear home,
Where all my dear people roam
On my scooter, I slide,
Dancing with speed, a happy ride.
To a distant land, beautiful and free,
Yet my heart beats for the city I leave
I’ll chase my dreams, toward the horizon unknown,
With dreams in my heart, on a path of my own,
But deep down, I carry my city’s flame,
Its spirit, its essence, forever the same.

And when the journey will finally end,
I’ll return to my city, to my family and friends.
