An ‘oasis' In The ‘Desert'

By Asim Mahmood

It was a dream night
Desert extending beyond sight
Blazing sun up above the sky
Raining blizzard of fire so high
Blistering winds penetrating the skin
And eyes showering the flames in return
Flying sand like horrible witches
Blinding the eyes beneath the hitches
Hope of surviving about to die…
When blurry sight about to lie…
An oasis of beauty came to the rescue
Soul ask the body just lie on the fescue!
Here is life’s long over-due debt
‘Go ahead and embrace her without any regret’
Before the moment goanna blur…
Open your eyes and feel the stir! !
Carrying each other, the body and soul
Some how managed to reach the goal
Leaving behind a trail of suffering
Here goes the loner to a land of eternal spring
Amids tRavishing the Oasis’ splendour…
The voice of past echoes through its grandeur.
