Fort Worth Has The Same As France Poem
By James Jennings
People go to France for the wine and 32 flavors of cheese
It still ain’t like it used to be
Romance has left Paris and the lights have gone dim
Corruption now runs the country while the French are all drunk
There’s only one place where I want to be
Texas is the place for me
I realized something a long time ago
Fort Worth has the same as France
Why would I want fly so far away to see bright lights?
France don’t think that Bob Wills is still the king
They don’t understand the people up in Texas
The brave fighters at the Alamo
We’ve got so much more to offer folks than just wine and cheese
Listen to Willie sing on the road again or whiskey river
Waylon singing about all them good hearted women
Many still love their good timing men
