Silhouette By Angela Bontle Ditumiso
My heart unfurls emotions I cannot harness
Morphs itself into a two-horned sadness
When it grows two feet
I revolt in defeat
For I know I’m a house it’s about to roam
And it’ll make a waste of my home
It crawls into my soul, and tears everything in sight
I have no strength, can’t give out a fight
My joy wilts and becomes sorrow
My contentment is emptied and I’m hollow
It claws and cuts me still
Until I am fissures and I am shreds
