Storm On Me

By Priyanka Roy

Storm on me
Uproot me from my depression
Let every tear roll down my body
Rinsing, washing out memories
In blotches
White paper boats, vying
crashing against my chest
of dripping honey
a heavy sigh
of inhibitions, paranoia,
Insomnia.
The viper that crouches taut on my crown
Let it slither
Back-scaly-slimy
Let hyacinths thrive
On the uprooting staff
Stationing, staunched
Let it run down my spine, amass on my hips
Dip your finger deep down
A muddy hallucination
of battered remains.
