The Bright Side

By Lillian E Curtis

There’s many a sunbeam behind a cloud,
And smooth waves after rough tide,
When the weather is bleak and the winds are loud,
We’ll look on the brightest side.

The ups and downs of this life are many,
But the joys obscured from sight,
By trials and troubles unknown to any,
Are continually brought to light.
