To A Granddaughter

By Edna Howard White

Everybody is somebody.
Don’t dare forget it.
God has a piece for you.
Make yourself fit it You may have to grow some
In spirit, you can do it
Put God first in your life
Then follow on through it. When disappointments come
as they most always or
The way that you take them
Will tell things about you Folks with swelled heads
Become unbalanced and fall
Fret solidly planted
Stumble, not much at all.
