Utah - The Curse Of Salem Pond Poem

Let me tell you the story of Salem Pond
And the darkness that dwells within.
Legend has –
In the year 1860,
Brigham Young
Dedicated a new irrigation project –
“Salem Pond”
His promise,
No drownings would occur,
If no one swam there on the Sabbath.
Since then, legend has,
Eight drownings have occurred,
ALL on the sabbath.
